There are loads of really good networking groups and organisations out there, so makes North Worcestershire Business Leaders different?

North Worcestershire Business Leaders is continually evolving. In our first year we have welcomed 200 business owners to our monthly event held at Hogarth’s Stone Manor. We have hosted fantastic speakers from local businesses, local council and our charitable partners. Most importantly, we have learned so much about what the local business community needs. We have launched a fantastic website and we have built strong relationships across the county.

Our events are more than just an open meeting. We provide an environment for business owners to connect, learn, contribute and share with like-minded business owners in a positive and meaningful way. We are committed to helping our members stay connected to the outside business world through developing strong partnerships with local & regional councils, local business groups and the H&W Chamber of Commerce.

Our 2nd year is all about growing the membership, promoting NWBL across Worcestershire and launching a program of workshops delivered by our members (fee’s apply). And of course, continuing to listen and learn from our members. Our annual membership fee is £99 however our monthly events are FREE. All we ask is a voluntary contribution of £5 that goes to our chosen charity & resident charities.

So if you are interested in joining, come along and see what it’s all about.

Who’s behind NWBL? Meet the team from Source&Effect Ltd.

As business owners, we really value the network and business relationships we have built over the last few years. So much so, we have dedicated the last year to growing, shaping and evolving Worcestershire Business Leaders as a business group for like-minded business owners to connect, learn, contribute and share in a positive and meaningful way.

It’s not just words. We are passionate about giving something back to the business and wider community. That’s why we support worthy charities and keep our annual membership fee as low as we can. Our plan is to invest in WBL for the future and provide a foundation for local business leaders to connect, learn, contribute and share.

Our partners

North Worcestershire Economic Development and Regeneration (NWEDR)
In 2010, Bromsgrove, Redditch and Wyre Forest Councils merged their separate economic development and regeneration functions to create a shared North Worcestershire Economic Development and Regeneration (NWEDR) team. The key drivers for this decision were the desire amongst key stakeholders for simplicity, clarity, efficiency and improved impact.
The purpose of the NWEDR shared service is simple. It is to promote and enable growth and sustainable development within North Worcestershire.

Hogarths Hotels, and in particular Hogarths Stone Manor are delighted to be a partner with NWBL – The North Worcestershire Business Leaders. Since my early meeting with Laura and Melanie I was sure that to host the monthly meetings would be beneficial not only to the attendees, but also to the hotel as we went through change of ownership and refurbishment totally £2.5m. Fellow members of NWBL now use the hotels, refer leads to me and generally support the great network Laura and Melanie have created.

Primrose Hospice
Primrose Hospice supports patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families as well as bereaved adults and children. It provides the community in north east Worcestershire with the care and support they need during difficult times. Primrose Hospice is an independent charity and relies heavily on support from the local community. The hospice must raise over £1.75 million each year to continue to provide free care and support for patients and their families.

Young Enterprise
Our resident charity is Young Enterprise.
Young Enterprise is the UK’s leading charity that empowers young people to harness their personal and business skills. We make business relevant to the daily lives of young people. Our programmes spark their energy and enthusiasm, helping them to discover their individual talents and achieve what they thought was impossible.

NWBL has been a great opportunity for GTAccess Ltd to meet new people in the area who can offer products and services that could be of benefit to us as a company. It offers a very relaxed approach to networking unlike some of the other groups around there is no pressure to be passing on leads for other companies. All the speakers of been of great value and you always leave feeling that you have gained something. Having been involved with NWBL since the beginning and watch it grow I have now formed some great business contacts as well as friends.
Jo-Anne Till, GT Access
NWBL provides a monthly environment to get to know other local business owners who are passionate about their business. NWBL works really well for Lime Box, the relaxed open forum has enabled us to meet some really great, like minded individuals. This is essential to our industry as we don’t simply choose a businesses to work with; we choose the people.
Lee Moss, Lime Box Events
I’ve been attending NWBL since it started and I’ve always found it a great event to meet new connections and catch up with old ones. It has a very relaxed atmosphere, no pressure pitches but always a good speaker.
If you want to sell to the room then this isn’t for you but if you prefer to make valuable long term relationships then come along and join us!
